What is an Mphil degree
An Mphil or Master of Philosophy degree is an internationally recognized degree in a given subject area. In many ways this post graduate degree is alike a PhD but is widely thought of as the slightly lesser of the two qualifications.
The Mphil degree is a two year full time course which requires the student to submit various theses on their research over that period, theses will then be marked on content and clarity by the university tutors. Once the students dissertation has been handed in and marked the student in most cases will then face an oral exam and a presentation of their work to a recognized examiner. Many students who are aiming to study for a PhD will be required to take this course for a short period and will then be moved on to the PhD course.
The Mphil degree course for many is a highly acclaimed course which allows the student to complete the qualification in less time than other courses like a PhD, in some cases the course can be completed in as little as twelve months but this all depends on the student and their previous knowledge and experience. Additional resources for study are the Masters Of Law Degree for Legal based qualifications.
Other Options for Study are an MSC Finance or an MSc Accounting and Finance as these offer a sound foundation in the field of Business and Finance.
