What is an MA
An MA or Master of arts degree is a well sought after and highly recognized qualification in a given academic area. On completion of the course the student will be able to show advanced knowledge in their field and be fully competent in completing all the associated tasks in that given area.
The MA course is very similar to an MBA course as it is two years in length and consists of various curriculum designed to give students all the knowledge they require for their real world careers.
The actual course entails students completing six fixed study modules as well as having a choice of various additional modules which will give the student a broad range of knowledge banks that they can lean towards if they are aiming at one particular sector of business.
During the two year MA course the student will have two semesters per year in addition to a third period of study which commences between June and September where they are required to either attend a structured taught programme of summer study or submit a dissertation of no less than 10,000 words.
On completion of the course the student will find a wide variety of options available to them as with employers finding such qualifications more desirable in the present day the choice for freshly qualified students has never been higher.
Achieving an MA is a great way for students to showcase their skill sets and knowledge to future employers as these types of qualifications require a great understanding of the subject in hand and also show that the student can complete any task the employer may wish.
