What is a bridging degree
A bridging degree in many ways is like a stepping stone leading towards higher qualifications in the field. Most advanced degree courses require a certain level of previous qualifications to have been obtained by the student before entry on to the course will be accepted.
This one year course is aimed primarily at international students who do not have sufficient alternative qualifications such as an LLD or Masters Degree but have other university based qualifications. This course allows them as the title says to bridge their difference in previous qualifications to a more updated standard so they are free to progress on to more highly recognized qualifications such as an MBA or LLM degrees.
The student will be required to choose any of the available modules which they believe will expand their knowledge in a particular field. Each module will be scored with the total for all modules being tallied up at the end of the year before the student’s final exams. This score will then be calculated with the exam score to reveal a pass or fail for the student.
This is a great qualification to achieve for students wishing to progress their knowledge and skill sets before embarking on courses that they may not have been able to understand fully or complete without doing so.
